U is for Unseemly

So I skipped U in the last post and went straight to V.  I had to make sure that I used Verdant around St Patrick's Day, of course.

Well, now I'm back to the letter U and I found a great word for this post:  Unseemly.  According to my handy dictionary, unseemly is "not according with established standards of good form or taste, inappropriate."  Inappropriate just so happens to be my specialty!  ;)  I have a sense of humor that verges on the indecent...  And why not show that off in this blog post?!?!

So, let's start off with some fun necklaces in my Etsy shop...

Here are some other Unseemly items by other Etsy artists:

We've reached the end of this blog post.  Thank you so much for reading and I look forward to the letter W!  Leave me a note in the comments section below to let me know your thoughts on Unseemly or to give me suggestions for the next blog post, W.  Thanks!!

V is for Verdant

Continuing to blog my way through the alphabet and here we are at V.  I skipped U, but it was for a great reason...  I wanted to use "verdant" near St. Patrick's Day!  Everyone I saw this weekend was decked out in green for St. Paddy's day, but I love it year round.  Verdant means green and lush and it makes me think of springtime.  What a great thing to daydream about; especially now in winter with this chilly weather!

So, below I've listed some of my jewelry from Etsy that is verdant....

Here are some verdant items from other great Etsy artists...

Okie dokie, that's all for Verdant.  I hope you enjoyed all of the color and the warm thoughts of Spring.  It's right around the corner!  Let me know what you think in the comments section below, and give me some ideas for the letter U.  I'm coming back to U, I promise!  Thanks for reading!

T is for True Love

Here we are on the week of Valentine's Day and we've arrived at the letter T.  How fun!  Of course, the theme for this blog post just has to be love inspired.  So, I've decided that True love is the theme.... and all I can think about is champagne, hearts, red, pink, candy, strawberries, etc, etc.  I think that is so much fun to pick out items to share with your true love on Valentine's.  Below I've compiled some items that you might want to give to your true love any day of the year just to let them know that you care.  Here we go!

First here are some items from my shop...

Love Earrings!

Here is a Love Detector Necklace where you'll spin the arrow to verify your true love.

Here are some big, dangly earrings to make a statement.  Let your loved one know that you love them with your (w)hole heart!

Red is the color of love and passion!

Now here are some listings for your true love made by other artists on Etsy.

Thanks for reading this entry on my blog!  Use the comments section below to let me know if you liked this blogpost or give me a suggestion for the letter U.

S is for Super!

Making my way through the alphabet and we are here at the lovely letter S.  S is for SUPER!  Yesterday was the Superbowl and I know that everyone had a great time with their chips, dips, and beer.  I usually watch it, if for nothing but the awesome advertisements.  This year, I skipped the whole thing.  So, now I'm going to make up for it by listing other Super stuff.  Here we go!

First, we'll start off with Big Gay Al, a character from the South Park series.  The link below will take you to his super song...

It's a bird!  It's a plane!  It's... Superman!  Click the first link below to get the dirt on ol' Superman.  The second link will take you to the Super Museum, a museum all about Superman in Metropolis, Ill.

Then there's Super Mario Bros.!  This game rocked for me as a li'l girl with my NES.  I'm guessing that I had this around 1985/1986... somewhere around there.  It was awesome!  Click the link below to get additional info about Super Mario Bros. on the wikipedia page.

Here are some fun items from Etsy that I think are Super!

Of course, you can always connect to me and my super-fun jewelry and whatnots at beaotch.com.  There you'll find my Etsy site, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and blog.

Leave me a note below for comments on this post or for suggestions for the letter T.

Thanks again for reading!!  :)

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I started this blog with the intent to write every week.  My first theme was to blog through the alphabet and I've not been too great at it.  I've paused on the letter R for so very long it's pathetic.  So, R will be for RESOLUTION! My resolution!  I want to blog so much more this year.... and away we go!

Every year Pantone chooses what will be their color of the year.  2013 is the year for Emerald (Emerald 17-5641 if you want to be technical) and I think it's fabulous!

Emerald green is relaxing yet energizing...  elegant and lush yet everyday...

This is the color that can make you a grand dame at the party...

...or can make Converse shoes fun for Sunday afternoon errands.

Since I am a redhead, I am especially fond of green since it fits my coloring/skintone so well.  Here's a picture of Christina Hendricks (of Mad Men fame) looking stunning in an emerald green dress.

Lastly, I wanted to list some of my jewelry and stitchery that would get you
accessorized with this great color!

Thanks for reading my latest post!  Be sure to share some of your emerald inspirations in the notes field.
